After a 5 year long sabbatical, artist/songwriter/producer and ex O. Children frontman Tobi OKANDI is back with a new set of genre-defying songs that have him hotly tipped as the one to watch in 2020. Fusing the darkest, yet most accessible aural elements of goth, new-wave and contemporary sounds, he is fast pioneering a brand new Pop, based around his one-of-a-kind baritone vocal and impeccable song-writing talents which he simply calls, 'New-Grave.'...Catch him early while you can, as he will be filling stadiums before you know it.
Hante. is a one woman project from Paris. Behind the synths, Hélène de Thoury is escaping the reality and facing her fears. Through her cold, synthetic and melancholic music, she reveals herself and offers deep emotions, mixing haunting darkwave and striking electronics.
LUCY KRUGER & THE LOST BOYS (SA)
Lucy Kruger is a singer/songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa who now lives in Berlin.
Her music focuses on the bare bones of the songs, a slow burning psychedelic folk that is both intimate and ambient.
Lucy will be releasing her second full length album, 'Sleeping Tapes for Some Girls' through Unique Records on the 27th of September.
THE FOREIGN RESORT (DK)
Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, the band combines the shadowy mysticism of The Cure’s Pornography era with a driving production aesthetic akin to LCD Soundsystem. Intricate reverb-enveloped guitar lines glide over the motorik bass and powerful drumming, all while the taut and sincere vocals demands your attention.
The Foreign Resort have toured relentlessly, addicted to the allure of America’s lost highways, sharing bills with bands like Cold Cave, Killing Joke, The Soft Moon, She Past Away, The KVB, Minor Victories, Ash Code and many more. Since 2010, the band has been rigorous in playing more than 450 shows across North America and Europe with performances at several festivals incl. SXSW, Iceland Airwaves, Canadian Music Week, POP Montreal, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wave Gotik Treffen and W-Fest.
The trio released their latest full length album “Outnumbered” on Artoffact Records April 5th 2019 and are currently following up with shows and festival appearances in Europe and North America throughout 2019 and 2020
GOLD marries coldness with comfort, love with death, hope with despair, the decline of civilization with personal trauma, and a stormlike instrumentation with the serene delivery of Milena Eva. Their new album ‘Why Aren’t You Laughing?’
shows the post-everything outfit at their most confident and personal.
Traitrs are a Toronto-based band comprised of Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker. Long-time friends, the pair formed as Traitrs in mid-2015. Initially conceiving of the band primarily as a recording project they rapidly amassed a collection of demos that caught the attention of Toronto producer Josh Korody (Dilly Dally, Beliefs, Moon King, Fucked Up), and began working with him during sessions at his Candle Studios in January of 2016. With Korody's guidance the band set about expanding their sound, adding textural depth to their arrangements and weight to their rhythm section, transforming their stripped-down home recordings into a collection of propulsive, goth-influenced post-punk that immediately recalls acts like Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and Cure.
